Dental Bonding and Veneers in Watrous & Saskatoon
Dental Bonding and Veneers
Dental bonding and veneers are two methods for cosmetically revitalizing your smile. Depending on the issues you have, one or both may be helpful to help you restore your smile. Dental bonding and veneers can help fix the following issues:
- Chipped teeth
- Fractured teeth
- Discolored teeth
- Gapped tooth
- Asymmetrical/oddly shaped teeth
- Strengthen teeth
Dental Bonding
During a dental bonding procedure, your dentist will use a special bonding material that is made to match the shade of your teeth. It is applied to the area of its intended use, shaped to the desired result, allowed to harden, and then buffed and polished to a natural-looking shine. Bonding is often used as a way to repair teeth while veneers are often used for more cosmetic reasons.
Dental Veneers
Are you interested in veneers in Saskatoon? Unlike bonding, veneers are thin porcelain shells that are attached to a tooth. They are made to match the shape of the tooth they are replacing or to create a new desired shape. Since many teeth are often covered in veneers simultaneously, they are often used as a way to semi-permanently whiten and completely transform the smile.
In order to allow the veneer to attach properly, a small amount of enamel is removed in order to allow the cement to bond properly. For this reason, badly damaged teeth may not be able to be repaired by veneers and may need to be fixed with traditional crowns instead.
Our Saskatoon locally owned and operated dental clinic welcomes new patients.
